Yummy ideas
At Henshaws we know how precious the 5 senses are because we support people who have lost or are losing one of the most valuable senses - SIGHT. That’s why we have put together plenty of fundraising ideas to tickle all your senses. The following ideas take the theme of taste.
International food evening
Enjoy a night of eating cuisines from around the world. Every pupil cooks a dish from a country of their choice then the food is sold at this great event. Teachers and parents can help pupils make the dishes. You might wish to put all the recipes together in a book which can also be sold at the event.
Try to get the photocopying of the book donated by local businesses.
A taste of something new
From volunteering to running a marathon, Henshaws has lots of activities that you can try. Everything you do will be helping other children who have lost their sight.
Bush tucker trial
OK, so maybe you don't fancy the idea of tasting stick insects, witchetty grubs or beetles….but why not create some proper food that you've made to look like bugs and challenge your friends to the best bush tucker trial this side of the equator!
