Will I be able to continue to do my job or find employment?
People who are blind or visually impaired are able to work and earn a living. Blind or visually impaired people can undertake almost any job you can imagine: Administrator, Teacher, Lawyer, Musician, Member of Parliament, Banker, Actor, Footballer or Physiotherapist.
Financial Support and advice is available to employers through the Government's Access to Work Scheme. This Scheme helps to pay for any specific equipment or adaptations to the working environment as required by the individual employee due to their disability.
