Helping visually impaired people with mobility and life skills training.

Henshaws specialist Rehabilitation staff are often the first point of contact for new Henshaws service users. They are there to help service users with their specific needs, including mobility and life skills training, so that they can make the most out of their time at Henshaws and out of life more generally. The team also provide professional Visual Impairment Awareness Training to businesses, local authorities, schools, groups and all Henshaws staff.

Rehabilitation Services

Henshaws trained Rehabilitation Officers provide specialist mobility support, advice and training to Henshaws clients, and deliver training in Visual Impairment Awareness to local businesses and other organisations. They also deliver contracts on behalf of some local authorities, supporting the wider VI population with high quality rehabilitation services.

VIAT training

Henshaws Visual Impairment Awareness training courses are for employers and employees and for people who want to know more about visual impairment and how it can easily be accomodated in the workplace.
