Independent living skills

Henshaws places a high value upon enabling students to become as independent as they possibly can be for their future lives. 

Through the independent living skills programme students learn through specialist techniques developed in conjunction with our visual impairment specialists so that they can safely achieve their maximum potential level of independence in food preparation, caring for their home and clothes.

 

Residential and care skills

Students are given the opportunity to transfer the skills they learn during their College day into their place of residence. 

Meal preparation, personal care and presentation skills, social and leisure skills are all supported in the College Houses.
