How your business could support Henshaws

Sponsorship – You can align your business with Henshaws by sponsoring us. We can provide positive press and the potential exposure for new customers, plus it qualifies as business expenses!

Partnership – Become a sponsor with us and we can help provide positive press, staff engagement and lots more.

Networking – You could help by recommending us to contacts or let us know about potential sponsors, helping us to grow our vital support network. We also run events where different companies come together, which makes for an invaluable networking experience.

Donating – We support people and their families all across the North of England and show people that they are not alone. Last year, we supported over 6000 people in just Manchester alone – but we rely on your donations to do this. Donations to charities are not taxed. If you work at a limited company, you could even pay less Corporation Tax when you donate to Henshaws.

What are the benefits?

Choosing Henshaws as your preferred charity is great for your staff morale, team building and personal development – especially if you take advantage of events and volunteering opportunities!

You can come visit one of our services; by visiting Henshaws you will get to meet the people and see the projects that your money is supporting. It encourages staff to work together to achieve a specific objective – and you’ll get some amazing PR with us too.

We’ll put together a bespoke plan for your company – incorporating any events you may want to hold, press and PR support, volunteering opportunities for staff and visits to the projects you are supporting. For more information, please email Sarah or ring her on 01423 814385.

Fundraise for us

Get your whole office involved with fundraising for Henshaws! Fundraising is a great way to try new things, get creative and raise vital funds for our services. You could help us by putting out a donation box on your desk, organising a bake sale or themed cloths day, or getting involved with one our events.

Volunteer

Supporting Henshaws doesn’t need to come from donations alone; volunteering is also a fantastic way to help us maintain our services, and is perfect for motivation and team building at the same time.

Have your own idea?

We’d love to hear it! Please email Lisa or ring her on 01423 814385 to discuss how you and your business could support Henshaws and make a real difference to local people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities.

Your support has a very real impact on people's lives, as it means we can continue our life-changing services for people like Philippa

“Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with Macular dystrophy; a rare, genetic eye disorder that causes vision loss. It was a huge shock to me and my confidence was severely knocked, I also lost a lot of my independence as a result.

I joined Henshaws in June 2014 -I was nervous initially but was made to feel very welcome by the team. My biggest achievement to date has to be conquering my fear of water and paddling in a canoe boat – something I never thought I’d do even before my sight loss! I’ve met so many wonderful and supportive new friends through Henshaws and feel like a completely different person. I’ve conquered not only my fear of water but also a fear of being defined by visual impairment. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store.”
