The valuable sponsorship money raised through people running and swimming for Henshaws has never been more important in helping us to support blind and visually impaired people across the North of England, and it will be especially important during the coming months.
If you’ve done a fundraiser for us in the past, why not try something more challenging, or try to better your time? Or if you’ve never done anything before, then a 10k run or 1 mile swim is the perfect goal to work towards.
If you apply for a ballot place in any race, you can raise money for Henshaws – and there is no minimum sponsorship amount. If however you want to compete in one of the more popular races and couldn’t get in through the ballot, you can apply for a place with Henshaws. There is a minimum sponsorship amount, but we’ll do everything we can to help you achieve it.
For all our runners, whether you have a charity or a ballot place, we provide:
We have charity places in the following races:
Greater Manchester Marathon in Trafford: 29th April 2012
We are lucky enough to be one of the charity partners for the brand new Greater Manchester Marathon in Trafford, Manchester’s first marathon for more than a decade. The race will start and finish near to our Old Trafford resource centre and will pass iconic landmarks such as the Old Trafford football and cricket grounds over the 26 mile course. There’s just enough time to start training, if you are able to run 8k, you are capable of running a marathon.
The Bupa Great Manchester Run: 20th May 2012
