Come and join us in our friendly Liverpool Centre. We are based in the very modern, fully accessible Wellington Buildings on the Strand, overlooking the River Mersey in the City Centre

The Centre offers an extensive range of training opportunities, leisure and social activities along with information advice and support.

Services:

Low Vision Advice

For magnifiers and other aids and equipment Make an appointment to see our qualified Rehabilitation Officer who will offer professional and practical advice on buying magnifiers and other equipment. Equipment demonstrations, including accessible I.T. software. We have a number of special interest days including demonstrations by supplies of the most up to date accessible IT software.

Light and Sensory Room

This room offers children and adults a calm, relaxed atmosphere, with facilities to play music. The various coloured lights can be beneficial to anyone with a visual impairment or anybody who would just like a relaxing hour. Bookings taken daily.

Sale of Equipment and Low Vision Aids

We have on sale a number of items to aid visually impaired people including Braille watches and clocks, mobility aids such as walking sticks and white canes (to order), plus equipment for your kitchen and around the house, all of which are designed to make your life easier. These items are on display so please come along and try before you buy.

Day Trips

We have developed a diary of daytrips for the forthcoming months. The trips are proving very popular and places are snapped up pretty quickly. Due to the demand we plan to organise more throughout the year. Please visit the North West What's On section of our website and search for "Activities" for more information of individual trips.

Drop in anytime and choose from our newly revised extensive range of tapes and large print books.

Meeting Rooms

Planning a conference or meeting?? Why not hold it in the City of Culture!!

Conveniently located in Wellington Buildings in the City Centre we are able to offer this facility at a very competitive price. We will provide refreshments, lunch and the use of presentation equipment.

We also have for hire an I.T. suite with six P.C.s. All have Broadband Internet access and Microsoft Office Suite. The machines are also fully accessible for visually impaired people, with screen readers and magnification software if needed.
