Parenting presents very different challenges if you have a visual impairment. 

But it’s not nearly as difficult as you might think, especially with the support that we provide to visually impaired parents and relatives (VIPAR) in the North East. 

We have a very active VIPAR groups in the North East. They meet once a month, fitting around school times.

Many VIPARs attend our parent and child group and family activity days. We also provide home visits and can give suggestions as to how to make home life a little easier – especially if you are a new parent.
