Our children and family service specialises in working with children and parents with sight loss, often with complex needs and additional disabilities. 

We support any family member or carer where visual impairment has an impact on their life.

Here’s a quick round up of our family services:

  • A well stocked toy lending library, specialising in sensory stimulation toys
  • Daytime and residential holiday clubs during school holidays
  • Family activity days
  • Children’s soft play and toy area
  • A dedicated Asian Family Link Worker
  • Free use of our fully equipped sensory and light room
  • Support in applying for benefits and family grants
  • Visually impaired parents and relatives’ group (VIPAR)
  • Parents and toddlers group
  • Story sack sessions
  • Information on other relevant local services
  • Home visits to families who need extra support
