Asian family link project

2 young boys

Our Asian Family Link Project supports Asian, black and minority ethnic group children and families in the Greater Manchester area.

The project ensures our services are open and accessible to people who speak English as a second language, helping with translation and interpretation.

All of our events and activities are inclusive, observing cultural and religious needs, such as providing Halal food.  We offer:

  • An Urdu speaking Asian Family Support Officer
  • Home visits
  • Translation of information
  • Interpretation and support at hospital visits
  • A Culture and Diversity Day to coincide with Eid ul-Fitr
  • Roshni Sight Day event for South Asian Families
  • Additional support for BME families

The project is currently funded by BBC Children In Need.  Have a look at Henshaws’ Children In Need appeal video about Nasar and Wasim.
