"Being a visually impaired parent can be stressful.  Henshaws support, and the support of the other parents in the VIPAR group, has been invaluable." Mike, Liverpool

Parenting presents very different challenges if you have a visual impairment - so our visually impaired parents and relatives group (VIPAR) are on hand to offer mutual support!

We have two very active VIPAR groups in Manchester and Merseyside. They meet once a month, around school times. They meet at the centres or go out on regular trips including meals out, popular tourist attractions and country walks.

Many VIPARs also attend our weekly parent and toddler groups and family activity days.

We also offer home visits and advice about how to make home life easier - especially if you are a new parent.
