Home Visits

Home visiting service

Our volunteers visit older people at home, where they help them with everyday activities.  Each visit lasts up to three hours.  The service currently runs in the Trafford area.  All our volunteers have a full criminal record check.

How does home visiting help?

Dealing with correspondence and finances

We help with reading correspondence, paying bills, and making appointments – and can support people with budgeting.

Increasing health and wellbeing

We help with healthy eating and to maintain a safe and clean home.

Getting out and about

Our volunteer can accompany the person they visit to local shops, libraries and leisure facilities, or to visit friends.

Reducing isolation

Many older visually impaired people have no support network. Our volunteers provide companionship and will accompany people to visit their friends.

If you, or someone you know, lives in the Trafford area and would benefit from home visits please call us on 0161 872 1234.

If you would like to become a home visiting volunteer, please visit our volunteering section
