People over the age of 60 living in Salford can benefit from our information and support scheme. It’s a bit like a short course – which runs for 2 and 1/2 hours every week for 7 weeks.

You’ll get all sorts of information, advice and support from services including:

  • Salford Welfare Rights Bureau
  • Greater Manchester Police
  • Salford Social Services (sensory, rehabilitation and mobility teams)
  • Age Concern
  • Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
  • Salford Community Health
  • Local Pensions Service
  • Salford Ring & Ride
  • Television switch over

And we will give you useful continuing information and support through our weekly information, support and activity groups.

“It has been a miracle for me finding this course. I’ve just moved to the area and I had no idea what was available or what I was entitled to.  The course has inspired me to carry on doing things.”

  • Pendleton – Pendleton Gateway, 3rd Tuesday of the month   10.30am – 12pm

“I have no family, I’m all on my own. When my sight started to go it was very hard.  The group has been so helpful – it’s good to meet other people and it’s been a real support to me.”
