We’re looking for employers across the Northwest to offer a 2 week work placement to our Skillstep students.

We make this easy for you - and you’ll get to benefit too.

We offer free visual impairment awareness training (VIAT) for your staff and provide a Braille and audio transcription service. 

Our Skillstep coordinator will visit you before and during the placement, making sure the students have all the training and technology they need, including laptops with ZoomText or JAWS. 

We can give support in complying with the Disability Discrimination Act and information about the Access to Work scheme.  Hosting a Skillstep student can also contribute towards your organisation being awarded with the Job Centre Plus disability symbol.
