Asian Womens Social Group Leader (Female)

Where: Atherton House, Old Trafford

When: Once a week and one Saturday a month

Commitment: 2 hours per week and 3 hours on one Saturday per month

Purpose: To run and develop a social group for visually impaired Asian women.

Activities: Various different activities e.g:

  • Coffee mornings
  • Outings to the Trafford Centre
  • Lowry Theatre events
  • Bowling, etc.

Skills:

  • Car Driver (desirable)
  • Urdu/Punjabi language skills (desirable)
  • Awareness of religious and cultural needs of client group (essential)

Benefits:

  • Training, insurance, parking, reimbursement of expenses
  • Volunteers’ social events.

Supervision / Support:

Reporting to and supported fully byZahida Khan, Asian Children and Families Support worker and the Children and Families Team.
