IT Learning Buddy

Where: One of our training centres in Old Trafford M16 (Tues & Weds) Central Manchester (Thursday) Eccles, Salford (Friday am) Walkden, Salford (Friday pm)

When: Morning Sessions: 10.00 – 12.30 / Afternoon Sessions: 1.30 – 3.30

Commitment:

2½ – 5 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Days dependent on availability

Purpose:

Offer IT support to a visually impaired client working on the computer

Activities:

  • Help the client work through a series of Microsoft Word tasks
  • Access the internet & use email – you don’t need to be an expert!

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of IT
  • Ability to listen with patience and explain things simply and accurately
  • Good time management
