Wednesday Group Leader

Where: Atherton House, Old Trafford, M16 0GS

When: Wednesday afternoons

Commitment: Usually 2- 3 hours per week plus additional time for organising activities.

Purpose: To provide social activities for 20 (approx.) visually impaired people who might otherwise feel isolated and lonely.

Activities
- Organise a programme of activities, such as bingo, quizzes, outings, etc. Arrange the provision of refreshments
- Delegate tasks to support volunteers
- Liaise with venues, drivers and group members for meals out, day trips, etc.
- Arrange the collection and recording of all monies and ensure payment for outings and activities when needed
- Report on an annual basis to Henshaws Finance Dept.  Re. cash handling

Skills: Good organiser, friendly and have a sociable nature. Be able to support a team of approximately 4 volunteers
