Visit and apply
Are you and your family making choices about your future and what you’d like to do next? We recommend that you visit our specialist college before making an application as it gives you the chance to look around, ask questions and see whether Henshaws is right for you. On this page you can book onto one of our open events or contact us to arrange an individual visit and tour at a time which suits you.
We will meet you and your family in reception and show you to one of our meeting rooms. There you will meet staff and students who will tell you a bit more about Henshaws and give you a chance to ask questions. There might be some other families and students there who are finding out whether Henshaws is right for them too.
Next you will go on a tour of College to have a look at our facilities and see some sessions taking place. As we go round we will talk to you about your future plans and find out more about you. We’ll come back to the meeting room for lunch. Afterwards we can talk you through how to apply to College if you decide that you would like to do this.
Next steps: if after your visit you decide Henshaws is right for you, please read on to find out everything you need to know about applying
How to apply
We welcome early applications, sometimes 12-18 months before you plan to start at College, but also at any point during the year. You are welcome to come and visit College as many times as you like throughout this process.
We will request supporting information including an Education, Health and Care plan from your school and carry out an assessment to determine whether Henshaws College is the best place for you. We will keep you informed throughout the process to let you know the outcomes of decisions which affect you.
