We are delighted to be able to welcome you to our Arts and Crafts Centre Open Day on Saturday 8th March 2025.
At our Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, we run creative workshops for people living with a range of disabilities. We make more than art, we bring people together in a friendly atmosphere where everyone can feel welcomed, empowered, and happy to be
themselves.
Our Open Day includes:
- workshop taster sessions
- tour of the centre with one of our Art Makers
- opportunity to speak to Henshaws specialist staff
This is a relaxed and fully accessible event aimed at anyone interested in accessing our services.
Why Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre?
One of the reasons our Artmakers choose us is because we are open to the public and they like the social atmosphere of the Centre. The public are welcome to eat in our amazing café and visit our wonderful shop. We will support you to build your social skills, increase your confidence and reduce feelings of loneliness or social isolation.
We provide a flexible service for people with a range of different and complex needs. There is no upper age limit, so you can continue at the centre for as long as we can meet your needs. We can create a personal programme of creative workshops tailored to your requirements and aspirations.
We are open for 50 weeks of the year and workshops run from Monday to Friday. You will be creating alongside a group of peers and friends where you will be surrounded by diversity, empathy and respect.
