Henshaws Animal Invasion
*EXHIBITION NOW EXTENDED UNTIL END OF SEPT*
It’s Henshaws animal invasion and Knaresborough Castle is under siege from an eclectic mix of creatures from meerkats to crocodiles! Discover the animals hiding in unexpected places in our new pop-up exhibition created by Henshaws Art Makers.
Art Makers from a range of workshops have used their skills to create beautiful animal sculptures in wire, fabric and paper.
Christine has really enjoyed working on this giant giraffe sculpture. Inside there are hidden wooden poles and cardboard tubes plus a wooden plinth below to keep the giraffe on its feet! She has used paper mache to create the giraffe’s body and then next she’ll work on the details like its head, face and patterned fur.
Find the giraffe and many more creatures including birds, fish, tigers and penguins when you visit Henshaws Animal Invasion at Knaresborough Castle this Summer.
