Alicia’s walk on the blindside

Alicia is an ordinary school girl who does extraordinary things. Following her amazing trek last year from Blackpool to Trafford, the 11 year old is taking on the mammoth walk from Wembley to Trafford - totalling an unbelievable 180 miles in 10 days.

And did we mention - all whilst blindfolded?!

What is she doing?

Alicia was inspired to support Henshaws following a routine eye test when she was about five years old, and she discovered that she had limited vision in one eye. The experience made her more aware of the challenges facing children with sight loss and inspired her to raise money for a local sight loss charity.

She begins her challenge on Friday 27th May, where she’ll set off from Wembley Stadium. Her massive 20 mile a day journey will take her through Bedfordshire, Towcester, Rugby, Cheadle, Wilmslow – before finishing at the iconic Old Trafford Stadium on Monday 6th June.

She’ll be accompanied by her mum Lisa during the 10 day walk, staying at different hotels generously offering their services en-route.
