Henshaws Specialist College in Harrogate is a transformational place. Through our personalised approach to education, learning and care we empower young people aged 16-25 living with a disability to progress and live life the way they want.
We are recruiting an Assistant Cook to work in our established College Kitchen.
Supporting the College Cook, you will oversee the preparation of a range of delicious home cooked food for the students at Henshaws Specialist College
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide a first class catering service, ensuring that the environment and meals are maintained and delivered to a high standard and quality
Responsible for the stock ordering and control and associated invoicing, under the guidance of the Cook.
Assist with menu planning, providing inventive meals, whilst taking into consideration student dietary requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience of preparing food for large groups
Knowledge and understanding of hygiene best practise and regulation.
Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to work towards)
