The Arts and Crafts Service in Knaresborough provides training for people with disabilities.  We support people to reach their true potential by giving them real work experience through our social enterprise.

We are recruiting a Cleaner to ensure that a high level of cleanliness and order is maintained throughout the Arts and Crafts Centre.

Job Summary

To provide a cleaning service, ensuring that a high level of cleanliness and order is maintained throughout the Arts and Crafts Centre. To cover for holidays and absence and provide cleaning support during our busy period of events.

Key responsibilities

Cleaning of designated areas to agreed standards

Prioritisation of work areas and tasks

Work productively and at pace, whilst still maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Adhere to COSHH regulations, ensuring correct usage and storage of all cleaning materials and equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Knowledge and understanding of hygiene and cleanliness, both best practise and regulation

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, whilst remaining professional, courteous, friendly and calm in all situations.

Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
