Henshaws Home Support provide long term flexible support for people with a range of disabilities who live, or would like to live independently in the local community. This service has over 30 years of experience in supporting people to maintain their own tenancies. We have particular experience in assisting people in transitional stages of their life and for young people leaving specialist further education.
Henshaws is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Deputy Manager for Housing & Support to assist the Registered Manager.
To act as deputy to the Registered Manager for a defined service as specified in the Statement of Purpose for that service assisting with the maintenance of a good level of care and support for the people who use the service and ensuring compliance with CQC and other regulations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Act as a deputy to the Registered Manager for the service as defined in the Statement of Purpose.
To assist in ensuring that that the services provided are effectively, efficiently and professionally delivered to service users, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to and a high standard of service is delivered.
To assist the Registered Manager in the provision of a flexible service that meets the development needs of people using the service and undertake duties delegated by the Manager and to assist with the Management and supervision of Team Co-ordinators and Support Workers as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience of working with young people/ adults with learning disabilities.
Sound ethos and values regarding service users including respect, dignity, privacy, choices and rights fulfilled and independence maximised.
NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or equivalent and be willing and able to work towards a higher management award (NVQ/Diploma level 5 equivalent) and further training as defined through appraisal within appropriate timescales.
