Finance Team Leader – *open to existing employees of Henshaws only*

Salary: £11.47 per hour; £22,664.72 per annum
Hours per Week: 38
Contract Type: 52 weeks per year
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank 10 bank holidays
Due to changes within the Finance Department, we now have a vacancy for a Finance Team Leader, provide support to the Finance Manager, including leading and supporting the finance team.
The role will be involved in all aspects of the busy finance department, and will provide cover for the payroll, sales ledger and purchase ledger functions when required. This is vital role ensuring the smooth running of the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- To have a good understanding of the roles of all the Finance Team including payroll, to be able to cover functions in the Finance Department at busy times or providing holiday or sickness cover, to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met.
- To prepare monthly management accounts, including all monthly journals and accruals and prepayments.
- Line managing all the finance team members with the exception of the Payroll Officer and Payroll Assistant; including supervisions and performance monitoring.
Accounts office and/or cash handling and banking experience, as well as Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and databases is essential.
