Fundraising and Events Assistant – fixed term up to 12 weeks

Salary: £8.21 fixed term up to 12 weeks contract/or on bank basis if required
Hours per Week: Between 21-35 per week

Our fundraising team are a fun and friendly bunch who work on Community, Events, Major Donor, Corporate and Trust and Grants fundraising. We are looking for someone to assist the team over the summer for up to 12 weeks, to help plan and administer our fundraising events and appeals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To support the Corporate & Events Manager with Henshaws’ events, challenge events and community fundraising. To be the first point of call for enquiries to the Fundraising office.
- To grow the supporter base of Henshaws and provide excellent customer care, maximising retention and life-time value of supporters.
- Assist with the development of creative fundraising ideas, appeals and events to engage new and existing supporters.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate and represent Henshaws internally and externally, is essential, along with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines. This role may suit a student or recent graduate and is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in fundraising in the Third Sector.
