Annual Leave: 25 days plus 10 days bank holiday (pro-rata for part-time/term time)

DBS: Enhanced with child & Adult barring – Paid for by Henshaws
Rota Pattern: Mix of 7:30am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-10:00pm

We are now looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our clinical Team! You will work under the direction of our nurses working to provide safe & evidence based clinical interventions. We offer 24 hour support to our students ensuring a range of complex health needs are met.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertake in practice competency assessments covering a range of different clinical interventions including but not limited to Gastrostomy, Oxygen, Tracheostomy care, Cough Assist, Non-invasive Ventilation and Oral suction
Carry out delegated nursing interventions in line with clinical care plans, such as subcutaneous injection, Bowel care, INR and Tracheostomy tube changes.
Manage and administrate student’s medication in accordance with policy and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Hold NVQ 2/Diploma in Health and Social Care
Willingness to assist students with any personal care requirements as needed
Knowledge of care work and what this will involve including understanding dignity and respect
