Quality Assurance/Accreditation Assessor

Henshaws is working to support Greater Manchester to become the most disability friendly region in the UK (with a particular focus on Visual Impairment). The Quality Assurance/ Accreditation Assessor will help the charity to achieve this aim by accrediting local businesses and organisations as being disability friendly with a particular focus on visual impairment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct organisational audits to accredit local businesses and organisations as being disability friendly with a particular focus on visually impairment. This will be facilitated by a range of processes which may include desktop research, consultation based appointments, paper-based reviews, planning reviews and remote audits of their work.
- Complete a wide range of assessments for the organisation to evaluate their current policies, procedures, processes, working protocols, staffing arrangements and general practices.
- Analyse and identify improvements which need to be adopted by an organisation to meet the Henshaws quality framework standard and provide organisations with a recommendation report to drive forward any improvements they require.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the needs of clients with visual impairment and/or other disabilities and proven experience in the delivery of skills programmes. It is essential to have extensive experience of customer relationship management with the tenacity and creativity to challenge an organisation’s traditional methods.
It would be beneficial to have a proven track record of providing quality audits and/or recommendation plans.
