Henshaws Home Support provides long term flexible support for people with a range of disabilities who live or would like to live independently in the local community. This service has over 30 years of experience in supporting people to maintain their own tenancies. We have particular experience in assisting people in transitional stages of their life and for young people leaving specialist further education.
Henshaws is looking to appoint an organised Care Staff Coordinator to work in the Housing & Support sector of the charity.
Providing support to Housing and Support Services, the role of Care Staffing Co-coordinator encompasses the coordination and arrangement of staffing in our residential houses, supported living residencies and in our service users own homes.
The role will involve managing the day-to-day operation of complex rota systems and arranging cover for vacant shifts though the utilisation of our own contracted staff, supply bank staff and approved agencies, to ensure adequate cover is provided to meet the needs of our service users. The post holder will also answer telephone queries for the team leaders.
Key responsibilities will include:
In partnership with the operational management team, formulate staffing rotas to ensure that all contractual requirements are fulfilled and services are staffed to an appropriate level.
Placement of supply and agency staff to cover shifts due to sickness absence, holiday cover, vacancies – often at short notice.
To respond to queries as they arise on the day and be proactive in finding suitable solutions.
Maintain a database of supply staff and their contact details in liaison with HR.
