Support Henshaws’ Charity Art Sale and Discover Unique, Anonymous Art

On Wednesday, the 18th of September 2024, Henshaws hosted its annual Charity Golf Day at Rudding Park. The event was kindly sponsored by McCormicks Solicitors.
A Perfect Autumnal Morning for Golf
As the sun rose over the greens on a beautiful autumn morning, the team and players could sense it was going to be a perfect day for a round of golf. Indeed, the weather was smiling on the 21 teams who took part, and thankfully, it stayed clear and bright until the very end.
As a result, the Charity Golf Day raised over £12,000, thanks to these wonderful supporters. This generous amount will go a long way in supporting people living with sight loss and other disabilities, helping them go beyond expectations.
The Morning Buzz: Bacon Sandwiches and Coffee
The day started early with a buzz in the Rudding Park Clubhouse. Participants enjoyed bacon sandwiches and coffee, which set the stage for the day ahead. Teams had traveled from all over the North of England to participate in this special event.
Firstly, teams teed off on the shorter 6-hole Repton course. Afterward, they moved on to the main event, the 18-hole Hawtree course. Furthermore, the competition was fierce, as the results will show!
Wrapping Up: Drinks, BBQ, and Networking
As the day progressed and players finished the final hole, they wrapped up in style. The sun continued to shine as everyone enjoyed a well-earned drink from the bar and a delicious BBQ served on the terrace. Meanwhile, the 84 players took advantage of the opportunity to network and celebrate the day’s success.
A Competitive Day: Winners and Highlights
Titan Private Wealth (pictured) won the 2024 Henshaws Charity Golf Day team prize. Each player received a gorgeous Yorkshire food and drink hamper.
Bobby Fordi (SBFM) scooped the Best Player award and also claimed the Longest Drive prize. In addition, Gavin Brown from the Action Coach team won Nearest the Pin. Both players received a bottle of Dunesford Sparkling Solaris and beer, courtesy of Turning Point Brew Co and Daleside Brewery.
