Carols by Candlelight gets the festive season started
Mulled wine, mice pies and many wonderful performances, Carols by Candlelight was the perfect way to start the run up to Christmas. We had a brilliant evening and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and supported Henshaws in the beautiful Manchester Cathedral.
Saturday 2nd December saw Manchester Cathedral illuminated by Henshaws’ Carols by Candlelight Concert. This years concert featured wonderful performances from Chapel Street Primary School, Chethams School of Music, Jess Bennett, Sale Salvation Army Brass Band, Manchester Chorale and regulars at the concert Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn.
We hope you enjoyed all the performances and speeches; some highlights for us were Henshaws Children Hana and Zara’s ‘Christmas Reading’, and the two moving poems read by Dave Steel. A huge thank you to Warren Smith, Graham Dixon and Fred Hernandez for their speeches and to all acts for making it such a special evening.
Have a look through the photos on our Facebook, and we hope to see you again at our concert next year.
We can't do it without you
Henshaws rely on voluntary donations; our work just wouldn’t be possible without people like you. Your support empowers local people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to increase their independence, achieve their dreams, and go beyond expectations.
