This new online resource helps people with sight loss find local businesses and organisations in Greater Manchester that are aware, informed, and inclusive.

The guide takes away uncertainty and guesswork. It gives people the tools to make informed choices about where to go and what to expect.

What is the VI Friendly Finder Guide?

The VI Friendly Finder Guide is an online directory. It features businesses, groups, and services that have completed Henshaws’ visual impairment awareness training. These organisations have made a real commitment to improving accessibility and support for blind and visually impaired people.

You will find a wide variety of listings. These include cafés, libraries, fitness venues, shops, arts organisations, and community groups. Each one has taken steps to be more inclusive. Some have introduced guiding techniques, adjusted their environments, or trained staff to offer better communication.

The guide already shows just how diverse and welcoming Greater Manchester’s services can be.
