We started our independence skills programme in early April, equipping VI young people with Kitchen Skills.
We held a session over the Easter holidays and set the youngsters a challenge to create the ultimate burger. They finished the meal with fruit kebabs – including a drizzle of chocolate of course!
Young people learn how to use talking scales and well as important knife skills during the programme.
We finished the week with a trip to Liverpool FC for a tour of the ground and the LFC story (interactive Museum).
You can spot our very own Jo Bresnahan (Development Officer) being interviewed by Katelyn in the FC TV studio!
We can't do it without you
Henshaws rely on voluntary donations; our work just wouldn’t be possible without people like you. Your support empowers local people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to increase their independence, achieve their dreams, and go beyond expectations.
