Henshaws gets the DJ experience
Henshaws youngsters got together to enjoy a Music and Pizza Day in Liverpool this half term, with pizza, DJing and beat boxing!
Children and young people ages 8-17 came to our Liverpool Centre on Tuesday for Henshaws Music and Pizza Day, with the sensory room all decked out with neon and flashing lights.
The day started off with everyone getting the opportunity to make (and eat!) their own pizzas, and practice their cooking skills.
Next up was the musical part of the day – the kids learnt what a DJ does and DJ theory, and everyone designed their perfect party. With Henshaws’ very own Sophie and her bandmate Becky in tow, everyone then got a chance to take it in turns to come on the decks.
I love coming to Henshaws. Today I DJed for the first time and it was really fun!”
Emily, age 10
Sophie and Becky got the kids DJ-ing and beatboxing the day away with some pretty impressive results. One of the kids Liam even broke out his freestyle beatboxing – just making it up as he went along and sounding like a pro!
Check out some of the pictures from the day in our gallery below.
Henshaws organises different events throughout the year -from DJing to trips to Blackpool Beach, giving you the opportunity to meet with other families experiencing similar issues, share experiences and build your confidence.
