Henshaws is one of the Nicest Jobs in Britain!
We're pleased to announce that Henshaws has been chosen as one of 40 charities visited by The Nicest Job in Britain in 2017.
‘The Nicest Job in Britain’ is not-for-profit initiative, where one person every year is hired to visit a selected charity around the country every week for a year.
This year, Henshaws has been selected as one of the charities – meaning that the successful applicant will be volunteering with us at some point next year for a whole week! A huge thank you from us at Henshaws – we’re excited to be part of this journey.
The Nicest Job in Britain is still hiring now for someone to fill the role as National Philanthropy Manager – if you’re interested, check out their website here, or if you want a bit more inspiration, check out Luke’s journey from 2015 here.
Our aim is to highlight all the great work that people do up and down the country. Yes, we have created one (nicest) job, but there are many thousands of people (in full time roles and volunteers) who do incredible, inspiring & heart-warming things every single day and we want to showcase them."

We can't do it without you
Henshaws rely on voluntary donations; our work just wouldn’t be possible without people like you. Your support empowers local people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to increase their independence, achieve their dreams, and go beyond expectations.
