Henshaws team conquer Leeds triathlon!
On Sunday 12th June, Henshaws Triathlon Team - a team of athletes from Harrogate and the surrounding area who all use the services of Henshaws in one way or another - competed in the ITU World Triathlon Series in Leeds.
The team compete every year at the Skipton Triathlon, and this was their first year competing in an international triathlon.
The team of athletes and guides did fantastically, with their results below:

Athletes Shelley and Laurie knocked 10 minutes of their previous fastest 20km bike run, Luke and David broke 25 mins for first time for 5km, and Karen and Julie knocked 19 mins of their previous 5km time! Fantastic results from every team.
You can catch the amazing moment that Samuel Garwood crosses the finishing line below – this was the first time that Samuel had ever run a 5k. As he crosses the line he was overwhelmed, saying “I didn’t think I could run.” Fantastic work Samuel – you’ve smashed it!
A huge congratulations to the team for their debut at an international triathlon – definitely no mean feat.
