Over 70 incredible supporters took on the iconic Yorkshire 3 Peaks for Henshaws in 2025, conquering the stunning Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough – a challenging 24-mile hike.
This much-loved annual event is a highlight in the Henshaws calendar, welcoming both returning heroes and first-time participants to the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park. Among those stepping up was long-time Henshaws Ambassador, William Hart, who proudly completed the challenge for an amazing sixth year.
An Incredible Impact with Every Step
Together, participants raised over an outstanding £16,000, with teams from across the North smashing their fundraising targets. These vital funds go directly towards supporting life-changing services for people living with visual impairments and a range of disabilities. Every mile walked and every pound raised makes a real difference in local communities – and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Refuelling Along the Way
A standout moment for many walkers was the incredible support from the Rapid Relief Team, who provided much-needed refreshments, snacks and encouragement to help keep spirits high and energy levels up throughout the day.

“You’re All Amazing!”
Katie Beech, Senior Fundraiser at Henshaws, said:
I am so proud of every single person who took part this year. Your phenomenal fundraising and dedication to our cause means the world to everyone at Henshaws. We’re thrilled to have you as part of the Henshaws family – thank you for giving up your time on such a sunny weekend. You’re all amazing!
Inspirational Stories
Among this year’s walkers were the Kemp family, Howard, his wife Gill, and their son Alfie – who turned the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge into a true family team effort. Alfie had originally signed up through his employer, Sellick Partnership, who brought an amazing team for the second year in a row. It wasn’t long before his parents decided to join in too. Howard began volunteering at Henshaws events earlier this year and was inspired to take his support one step further by tackling the 24-mile trek alongside his loved ones.
Reflecting on the day, Howard shared:
Many thanks for all of your hard work in making Saturday such a success. It’s the little things, the fine details, that make a big event so great – it’s what you and your team do so well. It was so thoughtful to send good luck cards and Haribo (nice touch). We loved being part of the Henshaws fundraising effort, as I have loved volunteering with you and your team. The love and care that you and the Henshaws team have for the people in your care is inspiring and provides moments of sheer joy which are priceless. To play just a small part in the fundraising efforts of your wonderful charity, which champions equality, diversity and ability, has been an unforgettable privilege and pleasure.
The Kemp family’s commitment, positivity, and shared determination encapsulated the spirit of the day, showing that when families come together for a cause, every step really does make a difference.

Celebrating a Fantastic Finish
As participants crossed the finish line in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, they were welcomed with well-deserved cheers, medals, and certificates. A huge thank you goes to the expert Mountain Guides from Get Outdoors, who ensured everyone’s safety, and to our dedicated staff and volunteers for their tireless support throughout the day.
