Jam-packed timetable of events for Children & Families!

Our Children & Families service runs a number of different fun activities and events throughout the year, which help to show visually impaired children that they can take part in activities they thought they wouldn't be able to do and empower them to try more things for themselves.

Our popular and busy timetable of summer activities is now out – including bowling and nandos, an audio described trip to the Lowry, and kayaking!

Some summer highlights:

Children & Families’ Kayaking Session

When? 1st August

Where? Water Adventure Centre, Droylsden

Join us for a kayaking session at the Water Adventure Centre in Droyslden! An ideal activity for children and young people during the summer holidays.

Trip to see ‘Room on the Broom’

When? 17th August

Where? The Lowry, Salford

Join the Witch and her cat in this magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book, including a pre-show touch tour.

Family Fun Day with Ranger Rob’s Animal Experience

When? 24th August

Where? Atherton House, Trafford

Meet and hold different animals with Ranger Rob at our Family Fun Day! We’ll also be painting pictures & creating clay animals to take home as a souvenir.

Children & Families Christmas Party

Hotel Football, Manchester

Children and families are invited to join us for party games, a buffet, crafts, disco, a soft play area, face painting, and of course – meet Santa in his grotto!
