Children and families are invited to join us for party games, a buffet, crafts, disco, a soft play area, face painting, and of course – meet Santa in his grotto!
A look back at our Children & Families summer
Andrea, our Children & Families Enablement Officer, shares what the group got up to over summer and the upcoming activities ahead this autumn.
“The summer has come to an end and the new school year has begun. We wish all the children well as they start the new term, and in some cases, a new school!
We have some great memories of our summer activities and outings. The kayaking, Simply Cycling and Picnic in the Park were all fab… and we didn’t let the tpyical British summer rain spoil our fun! Ranger Rob came along to our Family Day; bringing lots of unusual animals… we had ‘cuddles’ with a snale, a tarantula, tortoise and geckos! The day to Martin Mere was a great success… it is a beautiful place and all the families enjoyed a lovely day. The production of ‘Room on the Broom’ at The Lowry was brilliant and we also enjoyed an amazing touch tour.
At the end of August, soome of our children hosted a lovely Afternoon Tea for one of our Friendship Matters groups. There was lots of delicious food and the group had a great afternoon. We also had a couple of visits to the Trafford Centre for bowling and Nandos… great fun!
A big thank you to everyone who attended over the summer and I hope you all had fun.”
