Luncheon Club put on a spectacular Street Party for the Queen’s 90th!

Our Luncheon Club is a social club, where members meet up once a month to chat and enjoy a delicious three-course meal made by Trafford College's hospitality students - and last month they celebrated the Queen's birthday in style.

On 21st April, our monthly Luncheon Club enjoyed a fantastic Street Party themed lunch to celebrate the Queens 90th birthday – complete with crown-making, themed menus and some classic music.

Sue, John, Dorothy and all the staff at Aspire really excelled themselves -with bunting, a themed menu card, and 90th birthday flags – the room looked fantastic! The group enjoyed some music brought by John, with plenty of Gracie Fields.

To celebrate the occasion, the group took part in some arts and crafts and made their own crowns – where everyone certainly found their ‘inner child’! Luncheon Club member Pat said she’d had a wonderful time – even better than the Queen would have done. The food, cooked by Trafford College’s hospitality students, was as good as ever – with an exceptional mini cake fest afternoon tea for dessert.

Thank you to everyone who helped set up and attended! If you’re interested in getting involved with Luncheon Club or any of our other social groups, check out our group listings.
