New tech services in Oldham

Our new Technology Rehabilitation Officer Carrie is coming to Oldham - find out about the new services she'll be offering in the area from the 1st February 2017.

Tech Talk

Do you want to keep up with the latest tech news? Tech Talk is for you! Our group will be on the first Wednesday of each month from 10am-12pm.

Tech Talk will be the same as it is in Trafford and Newcastle; a small group focused on discussing new and existing technology, open to both novices and experts. There will be a requested contribution of £2 per session.

Digital Demo

Digital Demo sessions are on the first Wednesday of each month from 1pm-3pm.

It’s an opportunity for people to see and try a range of digital products including the Orcam, Optelec and Apple devices.

Get in touch in advance to let Carrie know you can attend either by ringing 0161 872 1234 or by emailing, and please spread the word to anyone you think will be interested!

Digital Assessments and Training

On the other Wednesdays Carrie will be offering ‘Digital Assessments’ and delivering one to one training sessions. If you’re interested in this, get in touch on 0161 872 1234 to get on our IT waiting list – although you are more than welcome to come by our Digital Demo in the meantime.

You can find Carrie at Medtia Place, 80 Union Street, Oldham OL1 1DJ. There is a tram stop right outside (Oldham Central) and parking is available behind the building or a couple of minutes walk away.

Digital volunteer

Could you spare a few hours a month, and would like to help facilitate our Tech Talk group? Please get in touch! More information is available on our volunteer page, or ring us on 0161 872 1234.
