Henshaws Awards 2016 – please send us your nominations
Within the Henshaws community, there are lots of people who achieve more than they can imagine each year and who go beyond expectations to support other people within their peer group. This is your chance to recognise their achievements by nominating them for one of our awards.
We have six categories and would love as many nominations as possible. The categories are:
Gillian Lawrence Award
A Visually Impaired person who has overcome their own particular obstacles and in doing so, become a positive role model for others.
Technology Award
A visually impaired person who has used technology to transform their lives e.g. email/online shopping/Skype
Friendship Matters Award
A Henshaws service user who has befriended other service users and supported them through their journey or has made a significant impact within one of the friendship matters groups
Henshaws Young Person of the Year
A Henshaws service user under 30 who has made a significant change to their life and/or the lives of others this year
Volunteer of the Year
A Henshaws volunteer who has made a significant impact on Henshaws service users and the organisation as a whole over the last year
Visual Impairment Friendly Business of the Year
A company which has provided the best customer service for visually impaired people in the North of England this year
