Henshaws College student Tom tackles the Melmerby 10k

Henshaws Specialist College student Tom took on the Melmerby 10k last month to fundraise for new specialist physio equipment, and raised a whopping £1778.20!

On May 29th, Tom took on the challenge of the Melmerby 10k – a race that takes you around the Village of Melmerby in North Yorkshire. Tom has been busy raising funds for a new piece of equipment called MOTOmed, which Tom demonstrates in a video here.

Tom managed to complete the run in 1 hour 28 minutes! The total money raised so far is £1778.20 which is fantastic, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to Tom and his family for all their efforts. Yesterday Lee, one of our physiotherapists at Henshaws College, presented him with a certificate to thank him for his brilliant achievements.

You can find out more about his run on his page here, or see photos of his running efforts below.

Congratulations Tom!
