Transform a Child’s Life Today

Transform a Child’s life today – If you donate £20 we will receive another £20 free!

Until 30th June 2025, every donation to Henshaws’ Children and Young People’s Service will be matched pound for pound. This means your gift can go twice as far. When you give today, you help blind and visually impaired children build confidence, independence, and lasting happiness. Transform a Child’s Life Today by making a donation.

Donate today

Every child deserves the chance to thrive. However, many visually impaired children miss out on experiences others enjoy. With your help, we can change that. Your donation today supports exciting activities, teaches practical life skills, and connects children with a caring community. Why Your Support Matters

Blind and visually impaired children often feel excluded from activities like climbing, baking, or even sleepovers with friends. As a result, they can feel lonely and isolated. Fortunately, your support creates opportunities for these children to feel included, capable, and proud of what they can achieve.

“They have basically helped me make breakfast because of the I Can Do It course.
They have helped me make friends, and I think making friends is one of the best things you can do.”
— Alfie

Matched Funding: Every Pound Counts Double

This spring, we have a rare opportunity. All donations made before 30th June 2025 will be matched up to £20,000. As a result, you can help twice as many children and families access our life-changing services.

  • £25 becomes £50 – helping a child enjoy a confidence-boosting activity like kayaking or climbing.
  • £50 becomes £100 – giving a child access to training in assistive technology for everyday life.
  • £100 becomes £200 – funding essential workshops that teach skills like cooking and moving around safely.

The Difference You Make

Confidence-Building Activities

With your support, children take part in skiing, swimming, or other adventures. These experiences show them they can achieve so much more than they thought possible.

Independence Through Life Skills

We teach practical skills like meal preparation and using assistive tech. These tools help children navigate life with greater independence and self-belief.

A Community That Cares

Through your generosity, children find friendships and support. No child should feel alone, your donation helps them feel included and empowered.

Transform a Child’s Life Today

Your donation will have a real and lasting impact. You can help a blind or visually impaired child build confidence, develop vital skills, and feel like they truly belong. Together, we can make 2025 a year of opportunity, adventure, and growth for every child we support.
