We’ve received a fantastic grant from the Big Lottery Fund
We are delighted to announce that we have received a grant of £362,628 from the Big Lottery Fund for our Pathway to Wellbeing project!
This is a fantastic amount that will make a very real difference to the lives of visually impaired people in Trafford, Salford and Manchester over the next 3 years.
With this funding Henshaws will be offering information advice and guidance, living with sight loss courses, weekly exercise classes, counselling and social groups. Activities will be delivered from our centre in Old Trafford, but also from community venues in Salford, North Manchester and South Manchester. The project will officially launch in July 2016.
The Big Lottery Fund is the biggest community funder in the UK. Every year they fund 12,000 projects using money raised by National Lottery players. We are extremely thankful that with the grant secured from The Big Lottery Fund’s Reaching Communities programme we will be able to support even more visually impaired people to go beyond expectations.

We can't do it without you
Henshaws rely on voluntary donations; our work just wouldn’t be possible without people like you. Your support empowers local people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to increase their independence, achieve their dreams, and go beyond expectations.
