Henshaws Yorkshire Awards 2019 – nominations are now open
Within the Henshaws community, there are lots of people who achieve more than they can imagine each year. This is your chance to recognise their achievements by nominating them for one of our awards.
This year we have seven categories, and we would love as many nominations as possible. Please note that these are for our Yorkshire services; the nominations for Henshaws Community Services in Liverpool and Manchester have now closed.
The categories are as follows –
Gillian Lawrence Award
This category is for a Henshaws Art Maker or resident who has overcome their own particular obstacles and in doing so, become a positive role model for others.
This category is for someone who has gone above and beyond expectations in increasing their independence this year.
Technology User of the Year
This category is for someone who has used technology to transform their lives e.g. email/online shopping/Skype.
This category is for someone who has befriended other service users and supported them through their journey or has made a significant impact in one of Henshaws Houses or at the Arts and Crafts Centre.
This category is for someone who has made a real difference in one of the workshops this year and has created or led on creating something of particular beauty.
Volunteer of the Year
This category is for a Henshaws volunteer who has made a significant impact in one of Henshaws Houses or at the Arts and Crafts Centre and the organisation as a whole over the last year
Business of the Year
This category is for a company which has made a significant impact on Henshaws work in Yorkshire this year.
Please note that awards are for achievements over the last 12 months.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 30th August 2019 and the awards will be presented on Sunday 6th October 2019 at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborourgh.
