Accessible Information Technology (IT) has become an indispensable part of modern life, changing the way we communicate and access information.

This is made possible by a range of specialised software products that allow people with a visual impairment to use computers, even those people with reduced or no useful vision. It’s a bit like buying that brand-new television from your favourite electrical shop; the day it arrives at your home and you have switched it on, a new model has just been released.
