How would you like to challenge yourself whilst raising money for Henshaws? How about climbing Yorkshire’s Highest Peaks in 12 hours?
Dominating the skyline above the Yorkshire Dales are three peaks; Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent. Covering 24 miles and a 1,700 metre ascent, you will walk through the Yorkshire Dales National Park and see how its spectacular fells tower over the surrounding moors and countryside. Your challenge is to complete the three peaks in 12 hours, so that more people with sight loss and other disabilities can build on their independence and lead a fulfilling life.
For just a £5 entry fee (limited discount price until 30th April!) and a very achievable fundraising target of £100 you can have a great time, achieve a personal goal and help people with sight loss and other disabilities go beyond expectations.
As a parent of three children with disabilities, one currently a student at Henshaws Specialist College and his younger brother who will hopefully be supported by Henshaws as he prepares for adulthood, this challenge and charity is particularly close to our hearts.
Mason and his family took part in the 2020 challenge, raising an incredible £569 for Henshaws!
