At Home Beginners Drawing Sessions
A series of four zoom drawing sessions aimed at people at home who would like to learn some basic drawing skills led by artists Shirley Hudson and Douglas Black. Drawing should be fun and something you can enjoy at home, on your own, or with others.
As social distancing and covid has put a stop to traditional classes at present we’re aiming to help you get your drawing started by joining us and others at our Henshaws zoom beginners drawing sessions. We will equip you with some basic ideas to develop your skills and encouragement to carry on drawing in confidence away from the class.
You will be encouraged to draw during the session and to send images of your work to Shirley who will give group or individual feedback of your images after each session.
Shirley has facilitated art at Henshaws since 1998 and worked as an adult education art teacher for 12 years before that, teaching mainly beginners to draw and paint. Alongside working for Henshaws Shirley has a studio in Knaresborough where she paints landscape and portraiture with drawing being the starting point for both.
