Accessing Henshaws vision support service
In order to access our services, you’ll first need to register with Henshaws. This is so we can make referrals easily to the services you would like to access, and keep a record of how you’re using our services.
There are different ways you can be referred to Henshaws. You can self-refer by filling in our online form, or contact us by telephone or email.
You may also be referred or signposted by another organisation or service. For example, our Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI) team can make referrals to Henshaws, as well as other organisations including the RNIB, your local sensory team (including your Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment) if you are a child or young person, and other charities.+++
Where to find us
Our vision support services are based in various venues across Greater Manchester, including Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Altrincham Hospital and Manchester Central Library, as well as our hubs, and various community spaces.
